FAQ'S

It's the details that matter

What areas do you cover?

Sticks & Bones provides dog walking services for most central Auckland suburbs. Areas we currently we service are:

Onehunga, Greenlane, Penrose, Ellerslie, Mount Wellington, Meadowbank, Panmure, Kohimarama, Glendowie, Orakei, Mission Bay, St Heliers,Glen Innes, Mount Roskill, Mount Eden, Mount Albert, Sandringham, Kingsland, Epsom, Grey Lynn, Ponsonby, Herne Bay, Westmere, Waterview, Pt Chevalier, St Marys Bay, Parnell, Newmarket, Remuera and anywhere in between.

Do you need a key to my home?

If we need access to your home to collect and drop off we provide a secure lockbox in a location at your property with a key (if required) for access.

This is a better security & risk practise, and means that we do not carry keys to your home.

What happens when it's raining?

We walk dogs regardless of the weather conditions! Unless it is dangerous to the dogs or ourselves. If your dog gets wet on a walk we will towel dry your dog once they’re home.

In hot weather we carry loads of fresh water for dogs to drink and to wet dogs down throughout walks. In warmer months we choose parks, bush and beaches with ample shade, and water to cool down.

Do you have emergency processes?

Sticks & Bones have step by step emergency procedures in place for lost, injured and unwell pets. All team members are Pet First Aid certified, and our vehicles are equipped with canine & human First Aid kits.

Safety is our number one priority when we are caring for your dog, our vehicles are fitted out to keep them safe in the event of an accident, cool or warm while travelling.

Do you provide a casual service?

Yes we do! Sticks & Bones offer casual dog walking services with our Hood Walk service - click here to read more about Hood Walks or here if you'd like to book a free Meet & Greet!

Do you offer a discount for multiple dogs from the same household?

Sticks & Bones do offer a discounted rate for an additional dog from the same household. The rate for an additional dog from the same household is $35.00 which is charged in addition to the primary service booking.

Amanda has been a huge part of my dog Otto's life for the last two years and I can't recommend Sticks & Bones highly enough. She is thoroughly professional and has a brilliant understanding of his needs.

Bret, Ottos' owner.

I totally trust Amanda with my boy Zach who is loving his walks with Amanda. Sticks & Bones offers a wonderful service, and has been especially helpful while I have been unwell and unable to take Zach out myself.

Jo, Zachs' Owner
